1. Description:
Although they are oriented to operate on the vertical axis, vertical injection molding machines perform the same functions as conventional horizontal machines. For a variety of customer needs, this type of machine is available in hydraulic, electric, and hybrid executions. Due to their orientation, vertical injection molding machines take up very little floor space. (Watch this video for a 360 view). Applications involving insert molding are particularly well suited for vertical injection molding machines. Before over-molding, components can be easily loaded into the mold and kept there by gravity. A shuttle or rotary table is frequently incorporated into vertical injection molding machines (see images below), allowing loading and demolding to occur during the machine's cycle time.
